		<description>Thanks for sorting through all the spin, John. I too had the impression that, unfortunately, all we were getting from the Copenhagen event was a lot of hot air. As individuals, we can do more just by wielding our caulk guns. Color me disappointed -and worried.</description>

		<description>1. There will always be a scientific debate on whether global warming is good or bad, happening or not, whether alpha model is better than omega et al. All this is to arrive at the objective truth using science 

2. Then there will be economic considerations, whether rich countries to pay, whether countries that are highly polluting (India and China)but developing will agree to have their economic growth wings chopped off when those like US got away

3. Then there will be political implications to consider: job losses, expensive energy, changes to life style etc. Vote banks will not be happy. Short term results will in these cases rule over what is long term. 

With all the above dimensions is anyone really serious when they say Copenhagen has failed..... of course it was meant to fail and so will other conferences till the above matters are resolved</description>
